PBCC Companion — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

PBCC Companion is a golf app for setting up games, keeping score, tracking bets, and reading on‑course yardages. This policy explains what the app accesses and how your information is handled. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.

Device features the app uses

• Camera — to scan a round's QR code so you can join and score a group round. Images are used only in the moment to read the code; nothing is stored or uploaded.
• Location (GPS) — to show live front / center / back green yardages on the scorecard while you play. Your location is used on‑device to compute distances and is not stored on our servers or shared.
• Microphone & Speech Recognition — to let you enter your scores by voice. Audio is processed to turn spoken scores into strokes and is not recorded, stored, or uploaded by us.

Account & sign‑in

You sign in with a members access code and then with your Apple or Google account. Your Apple/Google account provides an identifier that becomes your identity in the app so your saved games and settings stay with you. We do not receive your Apple/Google password. Your name and email (if you share them at sign‑in) are used only to label your account.

Data you create

Games, players, scores, and bet settings you enter are stored in your own account on our secure backend (Google Firebase) so you can resume rounds and see saved games across your devices. This data is tied to your account and visible only to you (and to players you explicitly share a round with).

What we do not do

• No advertising and no third‑party ad or analytics tracking.
• No selling or renting of personal information.
• No use of your location, camera, or microphone for anything beyond the features above.

Data retention & deletion

You can delete a saved game from the app at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at the address below and we will remove it.

Children

PBCC Companion is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.
